Rotary Serves Up Soup for the Community

There's something special about a big pot of homemade soup — especially when it's being prepared to help others.

On October 27, volunteers from the Rotary Club of St. Marys gathered at the United Church to prepare vegetable soup for the community.

Working together, volunteers chop vegetables, prepare approximately 30 litres of nutritious soup, and package it for freezing. The frozen soup is then provided to the Salvation Army to help those in need.

And this is just the beginning!

Another soup-making session is planned for November 24, with additional sessions anticipated in January, February and March.

It's a simple idea with a meaningful purpose: neighbours working together to help neighbours.

Service Above Self — one pot of soup at a time!
