Rotary Speaker Series: Lianne Bambo - A Year Across the World
Lieanne Bambo, the Rotary Club of St. Marys’ current inbound Youth Exchange student, shares her experience of leaving her home, family, and friends in the Philippines to spend a year in Canada.
Lieanne will talk about adjusting to life in a new country, experiencing Canadian culture and school, living with host families, and the challenges and personal growth that come with being an exchange student. Through her story, she’ll offer a glimpse into the Rotary Youth Exchange experience and how cultural exchange helps young people build connections and gain a broader perspective of the world.
