To celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday, the Rotary Club of St. Marys invited public school children and high school students of St. Marys to participate in our Canada 150-Voices of St. Marys Literacy Project. The project was divided into three categories:
·      Artwork (Grades 1-3) and  essays (Grades 4-6) to be displayed at 115 Queen St. E., St. Marys and at the St. Marys Museum throughout 2017.
·      Grades 7/8: video presentations to be displayed on the St. Marys Public Library and the Rotary Club of St. Marys web sites and the St. Marys Museum web site will have a link to the Library’s web site throughout 2017.
·      Education and Literacy is one of the six areas of focus for Rotary International that is shared by the Rotary Club of St. Marys. We encourage the student and their family to visit the display locations not only to see their stories, artwork or videos but also to explore the joy of reading and discover what else our local library and museum have to offer.

·      Special thanks to the teachers from Little Falls P S, Holy Name of Mary School, and St. Marys DCVI who had their class participate in our project.
